About Betty and Buddy
Betty, or Mrs. "E" as her students called her, will be forever remembered as a compassionate and caring educator who believed in teaching "kids" and not teaching a curriculum. Betty began her career teaching high school history in Lyndhurst, NJ before taking a few years off to raise her sons. When she returned to teaching, she joined the Rutherford Public Schools first as a Kindergarten teacher at Lincoln School and then a 2nd grade teacher at Washington School.
BETTY and buddy
Betty and Buddy raised their sons Brian and Bradley in Rutherford, NJ. They settled in Rutherford since it was Betty's hometown and she held a special pride for the borough. Betty and Buddy had a lifelong love for each other and for Walt Disney World! Together and with their family, they made over 50 trips to Florida to enjoy the magic that only Mickey Mouse can bring!
Buddy was a true self-made man. After graduating from high school in Clifton, NJ, he went to Graham Junior College in Boston before joining the US Air Force. A self-taught mechanic, Buddy continued his career working as a vice president at Primo-O-Lene, a hospitality and hotel company. He ended his career as a salesman for Lawson Products.
